For quotes and orders just call us with your specific needs...we walk you through every step. MOULDINGS Your customer selects moulding from your shop. You order the moulding from your distributor to retain any discounts you would normally receive, and they bill you directly. You simply instruct the distributor that they ship to: Multi-Angle Studios. PRICING Multi-Angle Studios charges $16.00 per side for cutting and joining, with a minimum of 5 sides. Shipping for your multi-angle frame will be quoted according to size and destination. It is suggested that you pass the cutting, joining and shipping fee directly onto your customer. Your normal moulding profit will be realized from the mark-up you place on your moulding. When we quote, we will let you know how much footage we will need for your frame order. Your distributor will be sending it to us in length, (1 stick, 2 sticks etc.). Please keep this in mind when you price the moulding to your customer as you will be charged for full sticks...plus the shipping to us in Florida. Generally speaking, a multi-angle frame will cost your customers approximately $150.00 - $200.00 more than that same frame made as a rectangle. RESTRICTIONS Minimum Size of Any Cut Piece is 4" Moulding Width: Min. 1" - Max. 5" Moulding Height: max. 4" Our equipment will cut and join 95% of the moulding in the industry, but we must see the profile before we commit to the order. We carry many moulding catalogs and will look it up if possible. If not, your distributor can usually fax us a profile.
EXISTING MIRROR OR ART If you have an existing mirror or "hard art" that requires a multi-angle frame we will ask you to trace the shape exact, making a very thin pencil line and send us this tracing (template) in the mail. Please note whether your art was traced face up or face down. Do not trim the excess paper down to your tracing. PLEASE NOTE: Usually because a mirror or art was previously cut to simply fit a frame, it does not have matching lengths or angles. Because of this, there are no trigonometric formulas that apply. In making a multi-angle frame, our precision is within .001 of a degree and 1/32nd of an inch. To make a multi-sided frame fit an inexact shape often requires us to make at least one mock-up frame of raw wood and often can still require that we widen the rabbit of your moulding. (This will not affect the appearance or structural integrity of your moulding.) Therefore an additional surcharge of $ 35.00 is applied when working with a reverse template.
